Bunnies and Blossom Banners for Kids Blog Hop~March 24 and 25

Day 2


Today and tomorrow (March 24-25), 30+fantastic paper crafters have come together to create Spring-themed banners.They will then donate these banners to Ellen (CardMonkey), who works asAdmissions Coordinator at Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC),www.pediatricspecialty.com. 


PSC is a long-term care facility for specialneeds children who are medically-fragile and/or technologically-dependent. The babies, children and youths at PSC range in age from birth to 21, and are admitted from all over the country. 
Some are infants, born prematurely and before their lungs have had a chance to mature. Others have serious birth defects,illnesses or injuries from accidents that cause them to need tender loving care in a home-like environment -- many for their lifetimes.
Our banners are meant to cheer the young patients, their families, and the staff at PSC. Here is the banner that I made and will be sending to Ellen to decorate a child's room:

I created today's banner using a SVG pattern called Butterfly Fairies from Designs on Cloud 9, which can be found here.

Ok so I've decided to make 2 projects for this hop the first will be here for days 1 and 2, so make sure and check for a new project on day 3 for a new project.
My day 3 and 4 project is a altered wooden heart purse,to create a home accent.  I used another pattern from the Cupid Cuties file from our sponsor Designs on Cloud 9. I picked up a little glittery heart spray...and added a couple Heart Doilies from Designs on Cloud 9. Both pattern sets can be found here

I created a Altered Frame using the Cupid cuties pattern from our sponsor Designs on Cloud 9. I think it turned out super cute!  Altered frames are a very easy and inexpensive way to decorate your home for any holiday.
This happens to be a wooden frame I picked up at Michael's for $1, added the paper, an adorable paper piecing and bow...super super easy!!!

Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Mini Album Challenge

Here are all the pics for my entry in the Mini Album Challenge:
To create the Football Shaped Album, all I did was take one of the football patterns and enlarge using my SCAL2 program!
